It is easy to ditch single-use plastics such as plastic shopping bags, utensils, straws, etc by simply preparing ahead before heeding out and carrying reusable versions of such single use items.
Processed, convenience foods almost always come in plastic wrappers or containers; cooking at home frequently is not just healthier for us but also for our Planet
Frequent the bulk food bins, of course with your own reusable bags / containers
Avoid buying bottled water, soda or other beverages packaged in plastic bottles
