The Earth has been in existence for over millions of years; its inhabitants ranging from Single-celled organisms to Trees & Dinosaurs; until now, we Humans have dominated & overwhelmed the Earth..
The Earth would continue to exist even if Humans become Extinct. As it happens, it is Man that is entirely dependent upon this Planet
Lockdowns across the world during Covid19 all the more evidently proves how this Planet is not dependent on us but only we are. Earth can heal itself without Human Intervention
Clearer skies.. cleaner water.. animals reclaimed the world while we were all caged in our homes. For Instance, the canals in Venice cleared up and were full of fishes. River Yamuna Cleaned Itself over the 60 Days Of Lockdown; "Two months of the Coronavirus lockdown has done what successive governments could not do in 25 years with over ₹ 5,000 crore at their disposal - clean up the Yamuna river"
From the air we breathe to the water & food we consume, we are dependent on this very Planet Earth...
Nature rewards & provides for Man in abundance. However, Man acts with complete disregard for Nature, wreaks havoc.
While Nature nurtures, the indifference of people & Corporate Greed, leads Man to Deplete, Plunder, Pollute & Devastate the Environment
As daunting a task it may seem to Save the Earth, since our Planet is already plagued by a myriad problems, all is not lost; our actions & choices do make a significant impact
While there's plenty Governments & Corporations can do to fight climate crisis, also one thing that is often overlooked is that at an Individual level, we could start productive conversations about ClimateChange with people around us, open people’s minds, get them engaged and raise awareness.
Instead of being overwhelmed trying to push ourselves to extremes like ALL good & NO harm, adopting @ZoeWeil's more pragmatic approach to living a principled life which focuses on Most Good Least Harm ( MOGO ) is conceivable
Life is all about balance. For most, a "perfect" life without leaving any Carbon footprint or totally avoiding ubiquitous Plastics may seem far-fetched or impractical especially when one is just starting to adopt a greener, eco-friendly lifestyle.
Striving for that elusive perfection can lead to feelings of exasperation and dejection.
PERFECT CAN BE THE ENEMY OF GOOD
We could instead Strive to MINIMIZE our Negative Impact.
Or even better NEUTRALIZE / OFFSET Carbon Footprint for instance by planting Trees or by supporting organizations that serve such purpose.
Below are some of the easiest Ways to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
Protecting Our Planet Starts with an Individual

I've always loved Captain Planet; such a great visionary...
I couldn't agree more, when he says "The Power is Yours..."
"Mother Earth is so generous and effervescent. If only we give her the chance, she will restore everything in absolute abundance and beauty." ~ Sadhguru
