Plastics are like Raktabeej, an asura, a shallow interpretation meaning Demon
Raktabeej was bestowed with a boon that whenever a drop of his blood fell on ground, a replica of him would be reborn from that spot; each time he was struck, millions of his clones appeared
Plastics being virtually indestructible, only breakdown into microplastics & create even bigger problems; when incinerated, the fly ash and bottom ash still contain microplastics & other toxic heavy metals.
A plastic can linger in environment forever.. polluting..
The chasing arrows recycling symbol on plastics, each arrow (which in my opinion) only represents
- Consumers’ Ignorance
- Governments’ Indifference
- Producers’ Irresponsibility
has misguided us long enough & has led our planet into plastic pollution crisis
Raktabeej was annihilated by a fierce Goddess..
On the other hand, to truly vanquish plastic pollution crisis, concerted actions across globe involving Governments having right policies, Producers taking Responsibility for plastic waste & Consumers' heightened awareness is needed
